Field Marshal Stapleton Cotton, 1st Viscount Combermere GCB, GCH, KSI, PC (14 November 1773 – 21 February 1865), British field-marshal and colonel of the 1st Life Guards, was the second son of Sir Robert Salusbury Cotton, 5th Baronet of Combermere Abbey, Shropshire, and was born on 14 November 1773, at Lleweni Hall in Denbighshire. He served under Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington in the Peninsular War with distinction. From 1806 to 1814 he was M.P. for Newark and it is for this reason he is included in the Trent Miniatures Adventure range. This mini range brings together a variety of historical figures that have been associated with the town of Newark in Nottinghamshire, England. The models have been designed by Master Sculptor, Mark Copplestone. There are ten Characters in the series for you to collect.He will make a superb character for your Napoleonic army.
